Methods to protect your back when it has a cushion of support
I have long been teaching people how to use a lumbar cushion to protect your back, but then I thought, what if you do not have a lumbar support cushion. I know the obvious thing to do would be to buy a mattress lumbar support, but I know not everyone is going to do that.
For those of you who do not want to spend the $ 20 to protect your back against low back pain, then here are some things you can try to protect your back. The only thing I would say is that these methods work well, but are not as easy as a mattress support. I used a couple of these techniques, but soon after using them I have a lumbar support cushion, and it did not work so well as I expected.
Ways to protect your back without a lumbar cushion
Water Bottle – One of the ways you can protect your back is to change the support cushion with a water bottle half full. The goal here is to give back the support you need to keep it aligned and place his body in a proper sitting position. I only know that the bottle of water used should have a tight lid on it because otherwise the lid will open outside and most likely to enjoy while sitting. I remember this because I do not want to get wet when you are trying to avoid hurting your back.
Rolled towel – A lot of people out there using a rolled towel, and sometimes this works very well but sometimes does not work at all. What you need to know about a rolled towel is not to be very hard and if it comes back will most likely damage in the future. My advice is that the tape when you roll the towel so it does not come loose when you are using.
Beach Ball – Something told me once about a beach ball almost full. This really looks funny, but the truth is that when you fill out just what that really help your back. My last suggestion is that, at least make sure the intake valve closes so that you do not have to put more air in it again and again.
I know some of these may seem a little strange, and they are, but at least it will help your back a little. Always remember that when dealing with lumbar support cushions there is nothing out there that can replace them.
