Exercise Can Work Magic On Your Body And Your Mind
Most people know that their body will function better for longer if they get some exercise.
But it’s more than just ‘some’ exercise we need. Spasmodic or occasional exercise is just does not cut it. The best exercise is aerobic and regular.
You need regular exercise to reap the full benefits that this, the cheapest of all health therapies, has to offer. Not only does aerobic exercise cost nothing but it is available to everybody and can be done indoors or outdoors without anything more by way of equipment than a pair of comfortable shoes.
Not only does exercise keep our bodies tuned and healthy but it also makes us feel better and, as our fitness levels increase, we find that life just seems to get better and easier.
Real Benefits From Real Exercise
The benefits of exercise reach further into our bodies than we realise. Astonishingly the payback for regular exercise reaches into the deepest recesses of our body and mind. Regular moderate aerobic exercise keeps not only our muscles and internal organs functioning well but also keeps our mental abilities in good working order.
Aerobic exercise plays a significant role maintaining healthy normal brain function while going a long way to prevent or minimize the onset of Alzheimer’s, dementia and loss of cognitive function.
Keep your mind sharp with exercise – it’s really true – a healthy body does mean a healthy mind!
The wonderful benefits come not from pills or any mental gymnastics such as brain training. They result just from aerobic exercise and, in the case of this study, simply from walking regularly.
Research Subjects Showed Results Of Are Positive
Recent research has shown that regularly walking for over six miles each week for a prolonged period, the risk of brain shrinkage in old age is substantially reduced. This will prevent the emergence of memory problems and cognitive decline in later years.
If you do nothing else to improve your health, just walking briskly for a minimum of 6 miles each week will give you a payback of better physical and mental health well into old age. Not a bad investment. Better really than money in the bank.

About the Author
For several years I have been concerned about the increase of lifestyle diseases such as diabetes, heart disease and cancers.
I am also concerned about an increasing number of unfit people in modern western societies. I decided to write about health and wellness matters as I feel very strongly that we, as a society, are going to facing huge problems in future years dealing with a bulge of health problems that will strain our health services to breaking point.
I have had some work experience in the health field but I also do a lot of research which I combine with some pretty pragmatic down to earth life experiences to produce readable commonsense health information.
I have a blog health site, www.ClearSkyHealth.com, where I publish my articles. I look forward to readers feedback and welcome suggestions for future topics. If you have a question I will endeavor to answer it for you.
